Parallel count of the vote by pollsters forecast his centre-right GERB party to remain the largest grouping in parliament, but with only 25.2% of the vote, compared with the 33.5% it won four years ago. Behind it, a new anti-establishment party founded by a TV host and singer finished second with 17-17.5%, and two other protest parties that reject Borissov were also forecast to enter the parliament, taking over the opposition Socialists.

IPOH (Bernama): Essential service workers in four sub-districts in Perak that have been placed under an enhanced movement control order are no longer required to furnish health screening test results to enter and exit the areas. Perak police chief Comm Datuk Mior Faridalathrash Wahid said they were only required to present either a valid work pass or an employer s authorisation letter. Prior to this, the standard operating procedure (SOP) stipulated that any essential service workers living in enhanced MCO areas and work outside must undergo a health screening first at the closest health clinic.

Special Advisor to Chief Minister on Communication and Works Department Riaz Khan and Deputy Commissioner Dr Qasim Ali Khan were also present on the occasion.
